Psychotherapy Student or Trainee

The Board has decided not to pursue psychotherapy student registration at this time.

People who are enrolled in an approved (grandparented) programme or course of psychotherapy study may use the following term/s without being considered to be holding themselves out as psychotherapists:

  • Psychotherapy student; or
  • Psychotherapy trainee

  •

Students/trainees who enrol in a qualification grandparented by the Board before the training provider is assessed for accreditation, will have that qualification recognised for registration provided that they complete it within the time limit approved by that training provider.
